Meet Our Intern, Ella Mogannam

Hi! My name is Ella Mogannam, and I am extremely excited to begin my journey as an intern at Girls on the Run! I am a rising Junior at Lick Wilmerding High School, where I am a part of the track, cross country, and basketball team.

I started running in 8th grade, however it was in my Freshman year of high school when I truly fell in love with the sport. I have learned to appreciate the mental and physical strength it grows, and unlock new limits with every workout or race I run. Above all, the most rewarding, and special aspect of my running journey has been the people I have met, and the community we have built together.

I am lucky enough to say running has provided me with friends, mentors, and many life lessons that I would not be the same without. I was first introduced to GOTRBA through junior coaching, where I had the opportunity to spread my love for running, witness many amazing girls' immense growth, and experience the impact of their infectious joy. I love that Girls on the Run focuses on building healthy confidence in young girls, it is a mission that is so important, which makes interning at GOTRBA that much more special.

I cannot wait to see where my future with Girls on the Run goes, but I am very excited and eager to learn more about the behind the scenes of a nonprofit organization. The work of GOTR is truly amazing, inspiring girls all around the world. I could not be more grateful to take part in such an impactful organization.
