The inaugural Giant Race invites runners to compete in a half-marathon or 5K road race, finishing on the field at AT&T Park. The event is a combination of the Plate to Plate 5K that has taken place at the ballpark for the past 3 years and the former Stadium to Stadium run.

“Runners’ Night at AT&T Park” will take place during the Friday , June 11 , night game. Participants will be able to pick up their race packets and attend the pre-race health and wellness expo in Pier 48. The expo will feature various vendors from the health/wellness industries, a pre-race pasta feed, various speakers and a post-race reception following the race on Saturday, June 12.

Project Open Hand is the official non-profit partner of the 5K race. The race will also raise awareness for the Communities of Opportunity initiative and the Bayview community. Communities of Opportunity is a network of initiatives working to create opportunity for socially and economically isolated San Franciscans.
